Seafood Laboratory Facilities
TheOSU Seafood Research & Education Center is a 32,950 sq ft complex. The west building is 23,000 sq ft and houses the OSU Coastal Marine Experiment Station Seafood Lab, OSU Clatsop County Extension, OSU Sea Grant, and the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife Marine Resources Program. The east building, also known as the Duncan Law Building, houses the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife Columbia River Management Program, Lower Columbia Hispanic Council, Oregon Fishermans Cable Committee and Columbia Memorial Hospital Community Center. The OSU Seafood Lab includes 3 research laboratories for seafood safety, quality and product development. It also includes a 3,670 sq ft pilot plant.
Duncan Law Building
The Duncan Law Building (formerly called the Seafood Consumer Center) shown under construction with a grant of $2 million. Was completed in Summer 1998. The Duncan Law Building plays a vital role in consumer education and technology transfer.
